To my mind, nowadays buying products directly from farmers has many benefits for consumers. However, due to international corporations and global food conglomerates that currently control the agribusiness sector, there are also some drawbacks.

Firstly, purchasing some goods directly creates better sustainability for the economy, and we can help its development in a different way. For instance, buying directly from local farmers helps them earn more money and makes small farmers more viable. It also encourages more responsible farming.

However, there are also some drawbacks. Because corporations can lower the prices of goods, we often buy from supermarkets rather than local farms, because local products can sometimes be more expensive.  Another drawbacks is local farmers may offer a smaller variety of products. Some fruit and vegetables are only available during certain seasons.

In conclusion, buying directly from local farmers has both benefits and drawbacks. However, it can support the local economy and more sustainable farming.
